As one of Arsenals major sponsors, PUMA wanted to launch the latest seasons kit with a global splash. ‘The Gunners’ were headed for Australia to play an exhibition match with Sydney FC, with the kit launch being a focus of the visit.
The media reveal was held on Sydney Harbours Fort Denison Island featuring six of the teams most high profile players who arrived on the red carpet via luxury yacht. The media shot was crucial to make global news featuring both the Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House in the background at sunset.
The media event was followed by an exclusive fan event at Sydneys Overseas Passenger Terminal with over 500 Arsenal fans lucky enough to get a first glimpse at the new kit. This was followed by live entertainment, themed food and limited additional PUMA Arsenal sneakers for every attendee.
The launch picked up over 200 pieces of global media in less than 24 hours.
